Ray Bradbury was born in Illinois in 1920. He is an American fantasy author of many bestsellers, like Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, etc.

Being a small boy, Ray began to write stories. His family lived at Waukegan - “Green Town”. This place was mentioned in his novels and had a feeling of a safe place. In 1934, the family moved to California. Since childhood, Ray was fond of reading and writing. He grew up on the Allan Poe
... more’s books. He started to write horror stories and wanted to look like his icon writer. In addition, young Ray liked to draw. He spent too much time in the libraries and worked as a newspaper seller. Later he began to write for different magazines. Dark Carnival was his first collection of fantasy stories. He married at the age of 27. In 1953, the world knew about Fahrenheit 451.

Ray Bradbury received numerous awards and honors. He was dead in 2012 at the age of 91. less
