deliriously happy that she was going home with her two handsome men. Jane had asked Fiona to be one of her two attendants. She was dressed in a dark-green silk dress that clung to her form and the colour favoured her hair and complexion. It had a long, flowing skirt, tight waist, and crossover bodice that showed just a tasteful amount of bosom. Set in her hair she had small silk roses in a paler shade to match the dress.
Fiona had been given a necklace like Jane’s and Emma’s but in white gold with just three letters suspended and linked together in one A, R, and F. It was a tasteful and tactful way of uniting their three names, and she loved the way they had done it. She could wear it anywhere. They had given it to her earlier and put it around her neck, locking it with a key. Both men had a key on a white gold chain to hang around his neck, and only those two keys would unlock the padlock. She didn’t care because there was not going to be any need to unlock it. If she had her way, it would never come off.
The antique sapphire-and-diamond ring glowed and was admired by all there. Her own wedding would take place in the Highlands in a few weeks, and she could hardly believe how lucky she was and how her life had changed simply because she had stopped in her flight to visit a friend. Fate had indeed been kind to her. Jane and Angus would come to the wedding and would bring Emma and Eric. What more could she wish for?
Gordon had taken away so much from her, but he hadn’t won in the end. She wouldn’t think about him anymore. She might bear the physical and mental scars, but now she had a new life and two men who loved her more than life itself. She looked down at her own ring then turned and looked over her shoulder at the two men whose eyes she knew had never left her as she followed Jane and knew there was no need for fear or nervousness now. She had a future. She stood up straight and listened to the rest of the service.
When the meal was over Master Alexander came up to her and kissed her. “It’s time for you to go upstairs and change. We will not come with you, or we shall never get off tonight. We will save all that for the hotel in Carlisle,” he said as he caressed her cheek. She trembled at his touch and at the hot gaze he levelled on her. She was looking forward to that hotel.
She was glad they were going. She was anxious to start her new life. When she had come to Sheffield she never dreamed that she would find such happiness. She looked at her ring again and thought of all it meant. The diamonds sparkled. Like the stars in my eyes . She had a future. She was going to her new home in the Highlands, to make her own family. They had not used condoms in the past few days, and she wondered how long it would be before she would have news to tell her men. As she put on her dress, she ran her hands over her smooth belly. She turned sideways-on to the mirror to look if anything showed, then laughed at herself. It’s much too soon to tell . She daydreamed about how her men would look when she told them. She was the luckiest girl in the world with her two Highland laddies.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I was born in South Yorkshire in England and moved to southwest Scotland more than twenty years ago. I retired from teaching a few years ago and spent my time reading, sewing, cooking, and gardening. I decided that there ought to be more to retirement than that.
Reading has always played a large part in my life and the house is full of books. My youngest son challenged me to write a novel of my own, and Initiation , book one in the Prometheus in Chains series, was the result.
I found that writing suddenly took over my life. Now, with a head full of Doms and subs, I love to spend a few hours a day writing or researching. Retirement has certainly delivered a lot more.
I still like to sit out in the garden, weather permitting, listening to the birds singing, either engaged in some
